What are RGM Scholarships

Rural Great Minds (RGM) Scholarships are offered to pupils of specific, rural primary schools. First to receive RGM Scholarships were learners at Kabasuma Primary School, in Kyotera District, Uganda, in March of 2023. We plan to add more schools as our resources expand.

Scholarships categories:

1. Academics: Best performers per class/grade, in all eight classes/grades of a typical Ugandan primary school (So, eight recipients per term)

2. Sports: Netballers and footballers of the year (Two each, per year)

3. Leadership: Leader of the year (One per year)

4. Behaviour: Most disciplined pupil of the year (One per year)

5. Hygiene: Cleanest pupil of the year (One per year)

When are awards given?

Under the academics category, awards are given three times a year since there are three terms per academic year in Uganda. In all other categories, awards are given once, at the end of the year.

How are award recipients chosen?

The awards committee is comprised of all teachers at a given school and Annet.
